Newquay Town Council has announced it will raise the Ukrainian flag at its Marcus Hill building next week.
It says the move on Monday is to show solidarity and mark three years since "the start of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine."
The council says the "symbolic gesture" is being made on behalf of Cornwall’s Ukrainian community, which includes around 800 families and the Ukrainian-Cornish social club, Sunflowers & Choughs.
A spokesperson said: "The flag-raising aims to show solidarity with the Ukrainian community and acknowledge their resilience during this difficult time."
