Hundreds of new homes could be built on land next to the A392 between Newquay and Quintrell Downs.
An application for pre application advice for outline planning permission has been submitted by Land Value Associates. They want to create up to 225 residential properties, commercial units, and open space on fields next to West Road, on the opposite side of the road to Hendra Holiday Park.
According to a "Vision Statement" submitted on behalf of the developer, the site offers "an excellent opportunity to deliver an attractive, high-quality, and sustainable development" that would contribute to the wider Nansledan masterplan area. The statement claims the project will be very well connected to Newquay, "providing a strong sense of community with a balanced mix of housing types and access to a variety of services and facilities nearby."
Residents can view and comment on the application here.
The land in question is located alongside another site where a separate application from Newquay Homes Limited, proposes the construction of 150 properties. The outline planning application is currently pending.
